On Tuesday, March 11, “In the Company of Women” will host keynote speaker, Connie Chung, the first Asian-Pacific American anchor in national television. Domestic violence is a growing problem in San Diego County, and the Becky's House® programs of the YWCA of San Diego provide the critical, transitional care women need to become self-sufficient and prepare for a life free of violence for their families. YWCA of San Diego County Receives Affordable Housing Program Grant for Becky's House II
SAN DIEGO, CALIF.– The YWCA of San Diego County received a $420,000 grant from the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco's Affordable Housing Program (AHP) grants. The grant, which is one of 80 projects that received funding in the first round of the competition will be used to complete Becky's House II, an 18-month transitional residential program for survivors of domestic violence and their children. The YWCA is the only agency in San Diego County to receive a grant award.Read Press Release
