Jolie Femme Boutique Hosts Lingerie Benefit in Support of YWCA of San Diego County's Becky’s House® Program

**Shop owner and North County resident overcomes domestic violence and gives back to local community**

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Jolie Femme, a local intimate apparel boutique in Del Mar Plaza owned by North County resident Sheree Clock, is proud to use her boutique to support the local victims of domestic violence. Jolie Femme is set to host a Trunk Show and Benefit featuring the Lingerie and Loungewear by Designer Wendy Glez, April 26, 2008 at her Boutique in Del Mar. Jolie Femme is generously donating ten percent of the sales to the YWCA of San Diego’s Becky’s House® Emergency Shelter and Transitional Housing Program. The event, to be held from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., is sure to be a delight as women can enjoy shopping, refreshments, fashion shows and a drawing for a $200.00 gift certificate.

The Becky’s House® Program of the YWCA of San Diego County started in January 2001 and provides women and children who are victims of domestic abuse a place to live for 18 months, and services and education to help prepare them to rebuild their lives free of violence. A second haven, Becky’s House® 2 opened in October 2007. The locations of the Becky’s House® housing developments are confidential to protect the safety of the residents.

Without Becky’s House®, women and children who exit emergency domestic violence shelters and are unable to seek refuge with friends or family would be forced to return to their perpetrators. In the near future, residents will also be able to take advantage of services from the nationally recognized San Diego Family Justice Center, the Family Justice Center Alliance, and the Family Justice Center Foundation.

“I chose Becky’s House® as the boutique’s beneficiary because I am a survivor of domestic violence and abuse,” says Sheree Clock, owner of Jolie Femme. “I learned from my experience that anything a woman can do or receive to raise her self esteem to give her the strength is incredibly important.”

Jolie Femme is located at 1555 Camino Del Mar atop Del Mar Plaza. The success of Becky’s House® is solely dependent upon support from the community. Without financial donations and in-kind gifts, Becky’s House® would be forced to close down, leaving hundreds of domestic violence survivors and their children with nowhere to turn.
