Stand Against Racism is an annual campaign of YWCA USA to unite communities across the United States on racial justice through education, advocacy and awareness. This year’s focus is justice for immigrants, with the theme “No Hate. No Fear.” Immigration justice is integral to racial justice to ensure civil and human rights for all people. Too often our stereotypes around immigration feed into division, fear and hate. The Stand Against Racism campaign provides steps to empower everyone to give immigrants the chance to live without fear, harm or discrimination. YWCA continues to work on supporting justice, safety and opportunity for all immigrant women, men, children, and families.
During the 2019 campaign from April 25-28 and beyond, help support immigrants who are integral parts of our community and join us by standing against all forms of racism. April 25 is also YWCA’s National Day of Commitment to Eliminate Racism. There are a multitude of ways you can become involved, big and small, and we encourage you to educate yourself and others on the negative impact of racism in our communities.
