Stand Against Racism is an annual campaign of YWCA USA to unite communities across the United States on racial justice through education, advocacy and awareness.
Our collective efforts can root out injustice, transform institutions, and create a world that sees all people, including women and people of color, the way we see them: Equal. Powerful. Unstoppable.
Civic engagement is, and always has been, central to racial justice work. Ensuring access to the ballot box and engaging marginalized communities in the political process are powerful tools for eliminating racism and creating a more inclusive democracy. Voter registration, protecting voting rights, and breaking down barriers for women and people of color running for and holding elected office are foundational to this work. During the 2020 campaign from April 23-26 and beyond, join us in The Stand Against Racism to elevate stories, share information, and raise awareness about structural and institutional racism — and the powerful tool of civic engagement.
YWCA continues to work on supporting justice, safety and opportunity for all women, men, children, and families. There are a multitude of ways you can become involved, big and small, and we encourage you to educate yourself and others on the negative impact of racism in our communities.
Get Involved
